Most of my music I have never performed live and Thursday October 27, 2022 at 7pm Eastern Time I will remedy that situation with my first ever live streaming concert! Mostly I record in my studio with multiple tracks and lots of editing. Trying to create live versions of this music, without just playing along with prerecorded tracks, has been very difficult. Earlier this year I released my first new album in over 20 years called Flow State Journeys, and as a series of electronic jams totally improvise, here too it has been difficult to reproduce for live performance.
My intentions were to book a venue (like the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington), sell tickets, and introduce the larger project I call “The Wizard’s Fool” - an immersive multimedia show with a positive message and call to action. However, other opportunities over the last year, like attending the Southern Ute Sundance, creating my podcast, and accompanying peace activist Machai St. Rain to Times Square, New York for International Peace Day, diverted me from making this ambitious deadline for such a large project.
So for now, instead of the multimedia show, I have decided to return to my musical roots and perform the piano version of what eventually became my electronic music. It has been a joy to relearn these motifs and I am hard at work practicing for Thursday the 27th's live streaming concert!
As a performer, I want a live audience to interact with, even a virtual one. So as a streaming event I will be using Zoom so that I can see your smiling faces! Please register above and I will send you the Zoom link. I will also keep you informed about rescheduling the in-person concert and other activities surrounding the larger inspirational project as it unfolds over the next year.
